President’s Message

Dear Brothers, Sisters and Ladies of the Royal Purple Elks,

It is an honour to serve as your Provincial President for the 2025–2026 term. As we begin this new chapter together, I want to thank each and every one of you for your dedication to your communities and to the values we hold dear as Elks.

This year, my theme is simple—but powerful: Together We Can.

  • Together, we can support families facing hardship.
  • Together, we can strengthen our communities.
  • Together, we can lift up children in need.
  • Together, we can stand beside lodges that are struggling.
  • And most importantly—together, we can take care of each other.

Our strength lies in how we show up for one another. I encourage you to reach out—whether to offer help or ask for it. My door is always open, and if I don’t have the answer, I will find it and get back to you.

As part of this commitment, I will be traveling across the Association to visit lodges, celebrate your wins, and hear your concerns firsthand. I look forward to working closely with District Deputies, executive members, and local leaders to ensure every lodge feels heard and supported.

We also have exciting initiatives ahead—including Grand Lodge’s “Double Up” membership campaign and the friendly interprovincial Battle of the Prairies with Saskatchewan. Let’s rise to the challenge and show what Alberta can do!

I’m truly excited for the year ahead and grateful to be on this journey with all of you.

Together we can… and together we will.

Fraternally yours,

Sister Terry Read
